Conference: Structural Challenges of the Slovenian Economy

The key structural challenges in improving the economic situation in Slovenia and facilitating further developmental changes are fiscal policy with emphasis on public finance consolidation, labour market policies and tax administration.
In cooperation with the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF), the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development held a one-day international conference that provided participants with an opportunity to exchange thoughts and ideas on these issues. The conference took place on Wednesday, 19 June 2013, in Ljubljana (Hotel Slon).
It was divided into two sessions:
(i) Structural Reform Priorities in Times of Economic Crisis, focusing on fiscal policy challenges in the process of fiscal consolidation, financial market conditions and the labour market with emphasis on analysis of the adopted reform.
