In accordance with the Act on the Promotion of Balanced Regional Development (ZSRR-2), Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No. 20/2011, the Development Risk Index (DRI) is a relative indicator of regional development calculated based on the weighing of indicators of development, risk and development potential. The DRI was first calculated for the period of the financial perspective 2007–-2013. For the multiannual financial framework 2014–2020 we calculated it anew and revised the calculation methodology. The methodology is presented in detail in this paper.
