This working paper analyses business results of Slovenian commercial companies using AJPES statistical data from companies’ balance sheets and profit and loss statements. The analysis covers the period from 2008 (when NACE classification was revised), focusing on developments in 2017. In 2017 value added of commercial companies increased even more than in 2016, accounting for approximately 55% of total value added of Slovenia’s economy (based on the first estimates by SURS). After a significant deterioration during the crisis, business performance of commercial companies improved considerably in 2017 for the fourth consecutive year.
