Indicators of Well-Being in Slovenia

The Indicators of Well-Being in Slovenia project is implemented by a consortium of four institutions, the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development (IMAD), the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia (SURS), the Slovenian Environment Agency (ARSO) and the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).

The project identifies three well-being dimensions: material, social and environmental well-being. In addition to income, the dimension of material well-being also includes other factors that impact the material standard of people. The dimension of social well-being covers intangible factors, including subjective well-being of individuals, while the dimension of environmental well-being combines elements of the local environment and the sustainability of well-being and includes natural resources directly linked to human well-being.
