Conference: National Reforms for the Implementation of the Lisbon Strategy: Their Monitoring, Assessment and Impacts

Slovenia, Kranjska Gora, 14–16 June 2007

The Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development (IMAD) and the Conference on Medium-Term Economic Assessment (C.M.T.E.A) decided to jointly host a conference on the implementation of the EU Growth and Jobs Strategy , known as the Lisbon Strategy.

Implementation of this strategy has proved to be challenging, as it involves wider political and economic dimensions. Our intention was to animate a debate about improvements in national economic reforms among the institutions in charge of their implementation and monitoring. The main topics included the monitoring and assessment of reforms, forecasting in circumstances of incomplete delivery of reforms, and European co-operation in this field.
