Accessibility statement

The Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development is committed to making its websites umar.gov.si and umar.si accessible in accordance with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act. This accessibility statement applies to www.umar.gov.si and www.umar.si.

The level of conformance

The websites www.umar.gov.si and www.umar.si are fully compliant with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.
The Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development is committed to ensuring a positive user experience for everyone. In creating our websites, we have therefore followed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. The guidelines specify three levels of conformance (A, AA and AAA). The websites www.umar.gov.si and www.umar.si meet the level AA criteria.
The websites use the available standard web technologies (HTML5, CSS3 and Java Script). For the image content, PNG, JPG and GIF image formats are used.

Non-accessible content

Exceptions deviating from the WCAG 2.0 standard (Level AA) are the following:

- Dynamic interactive graphs that are displayed on the website via an external web service. The information in these graphs is inaccessible to screen reader users, but because they have other advantages (they can be adapted to different devices and allow better understanding, easier access to data, a larger number of data displayed and exploration of multidimensional datasets), we have retained them on the website.

- Most documents are PDF files and do not fully comply with the accessibility standard, as their adaptation would represent a disproportionate burden. Images, which are complex data visualisations in the form of graphs, diagrams, etc. without alternative text, do not meet accessibility requirements, but they are usually accompanied by a more detailed description or content analysis, in addition to the explanatory title.

- A small part of older files in *.xls format is partially accessible. Their adaptation would be a disproportionate burden and could also impair their readability.

The adjustments have been made for documents published after 1 June 2020, i.e. for those that are most relevant to users.

Accessible alternatives

You can request an accessible format of all documents and interactive graphs by e-mail (gp.umar(at)gov.si) and we will prepare them accordingly.
